Calls and Opportunities

'Good Grief' Group Exhibition Open Call!

Good grief! Why would we facilitate an exhibition exploring grief with all of the chaos and strife in our world?
As artists, we often look inward. We hold pain as a source of work-making to softly sit with, and, sometimes, our art practice can help us move through our pain. Perhaps that's all that we can do with our feelings of grief at times.
Grief is shaped by culture, community, and lived experience. There are many types of grief: personal, collective, quiet, messy, unexpected, anticipatory. Grief surrounding the loss of a loved one or how one's life has changed, grief surrounding who we once were, grief surrounding what is happening in the world around us...Grief can be an isolating, but also a deeply connecting experience.
We welcome your art submissions exploring grief for our upcoming group exhibition, 'Good Grief.'
Any medium welcome + no limit on # of submitted works.
